Parents share tragic final selfie together with sons moments before fatal crash

A couple shared a final selfie with their three sons minutes before they tragically died in a horror car crash on holiday.

Nathan and Chei David, both 46, from Victoria, Australia had snapped themselves at a popular tourist destination in Tasmania with their teenage children before they were killed.

During a car ride on Saturday morning the mum was posting happy family pictures from their travels to local beauty spots including Cataract Gorge and Cradle Mountain.

The horror collision occurred moments after she did so in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, killing both her and her husband.

Their three orphaned sons, Joshua, Charlize, and Jude remain in Launceston Hospital in a stable condition, reports ABC.

Mr. David started preaching at the Loch Alive Christian Centre, at Loch Sport, a town about a three-hour drive east of Melbourne, in 2015 after he moved to Australia from the Philippines according to news.com.au.

The couple, who would have celebrated their 20th anniversary next month, were remembered as "pure hearts" that "really loved their family" by Pastor Apollo Mijares, who also worked at the church.

He said that the family had "conquered all the mountains in Victoria" and that the purpose of their trip was to climb Tasmania's mountains.

"All the members of the church right now are feeling the same way, they just never stop hugging us knowing that we've lost someone that's very vital, '' he said.

A mum and her newborn baby who were in the other car have thankfully been discharged from hospital and a man who was in the car remains in stable condition in hospital.

Initial enquiries suggest the crash may have been caused by inattention, according to police.

A coroner's report is being prepared.
