“Parent connection in Teams for Education” is in development, according to a Microsoft 365 roadmap entry. According to the source, the feature might be available as early as October 2021, but that timeframe could change.

The “Parent connection in Microsoft Teams for Education” feature makes use of automated methods to keep contact information current.

The website described the firm as saying, “With Parent connection in Teams for Education, educators can simply connect and communicate with the parents and guardians of their class via Teams chat.”

“All parent and guardian data is furnished using SDS,” it said, “saving educators and IT workers considerable time.”

Support for SDS, according to the research, should make it easier for instructors to communicate with parents and guardians.
